Joining custom Minecraft servers on Xbox or PlayStation is something a LOT of people struggle with — mainly because the official Minecraft bedrock client doesn't show a 'Direct Connect' button on console by default. But there's a trick that makes it dead simple, and I'll show you exactly how to do it in this video.
Watch the full guide — the method works on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
Method: Using the Featured Servers Trick
On console, you can't type in a custom server IP directly — but you CAN edit a Featured Server slot through the Xbox Friends system. Here's the general method:
- Open Minecraft Bedrock and go to Play → Servers
- You'll see Featured Servers — these use the same server browser system you can trick
- Follow the exact steps in the video above for the current working method
